Saturday, December 27, 2008 - Imam Siddiqui a well-known figure nationally and internationally recently took part in being a savior in the 26/11 incident, and happens to be a hero forgotten after the 26/11 scenario. The terror event that took place left many rattled.

This particular gentleman happened to be at the location and saved two non-Indians during the terror incident. Reportedly interviewed by the news channel NDTV then, this man was lauded and declared brave live on television. Now this brave young gentleman has been forgotten.

Methinks this gentleman out to receive a bravery award for the act. Wonder how many such forgotten heroes have gone unreported and are still to be reckoned!

No. This author for one has never seen the wind. But what this author has seen the wind make and do very few know. No this is not a tell-all-tale. A few thinks this author knows how to keep to self.

And then a dubious happening comes to mind. As the thought strikes, this author has several doubts whether he has actually seen the wind or not. What the wind does many know, but what the wind does and leaves a trail, the wind and this author only knows. Few have witnessed perhaps.

Has anybody seen the wind appear and disappear in a blink? This author thought he has seen, but as days wear on, memories a few remain. Yes but who wants to see the wind. When the benefits of having the wind around since the inception of the universe, everyone has seen, felt, and enjoyed. Yes, but who wants to see the wind when the benefits of having been around since the inception of the universe, everyone has seen, felt, and enjoyed. Yes, but has anybody seen the wind. Do let this author know if anybody happens to know where the wind’s going to make the next visit. A few words this author has to exchange with the wind. No but you do not have to see the wind, when the question ask, “who wants to see the wind?”

Refer the wind on this account. Exemplary courage of the wind. A column of air thumping the earth at an instant as a warning to inform what’s in the offing. This author thinks that’s truly a courageous wind.

This author has faced the adverse consequences of such an act and personally. The wind became a play thing that can be toyed around with, when the act took place, and every one ran behind the wind. Some gone with the wind, some keep going, and some went. And then that plaything suddenly made a presence felt. And, that’s not a good omen either.

Yet do let me know if you see the wind and expect another visit. Mind you, the wind is not a human being.

Author Looses Money and Job Due to Mumbai Police

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, February 15, 2008 - On the eve of Valentine's Day after midnight, an author was detained for no apparent reason at the Marine Line Police Station located in Mumbai. He was travelling home to Goregaon in a Taxi Cab. Early in the morning he was let off with only fifty rupees out of the larger sum of money carried by him on his body to reach his residence. Considering that twice earlier in the same week amounts amounting to Rs. 2000 and more were stolen off the author's body along with other valuables that included information with regards to job telephone numbers, this does not seem a newer happening. The next day the author was asked not to report to work at the advertising agency where he worked as the Copy Chief.

Currently without money and a job, this author's damnation continues here on earth in Mumbai!

Hello ,
If I have seemed distracted, unfocused, even irritable or if I forgot to do something for you in the last 4-6 months, you will know why in a few minutes. I am neither asking or seeking anything - I just needed to tell people (the world really) how much this person meant to me (us as a family).
Feel free to just delete this as it pertains to nothing but our love of the life and joys of having a wonderful friend. I am not seeking or wanting anything from you in this if you choose to read it.
This is a personal note from me to the world. You won't know anyone here, except for me. In some very small scale, I am giving tribute to someone who meant a lot to us.
This may not be short or sweet, and is as an expression of love to our friend Margaret Louise (Mag's - Maggie - Madge) Davis who lost her battle with cancer yesterday afternoon.
Mag's was our friend and neighbor for the last seven years after she moved in with her father, next door to us.
Maggie was a friend and as much a member of family as anyone could ever be. She shared a lot of life and a few deaths with us. She was there when Kim's Mother and Father passed away; Kim's mom was with her and her father when her mother passed away; and we were all there together as her father, sister and my son passed.
Over the years she became a daily visitor to us and our girls. She was a cagey one, sneaking donuts and muffins in her purse to our girls; Bought extra birthday cakes, just because she wanted "a little something sweet"; She spent the last 6 Christmas', Easter's, Thanksgiving's, and every birthday (even though I didn't want a celebration). Sometimes she did things - anything...Hiring somebody to mow the lawn one year for a birthday present to me; Offering to watch a movie with the girls, so Kim and I could just go have a cup of coffee together; She taught Kim how to make Blueberry Buckle, which she claimed was better than anything she ever made. We'd bring her a bag of apples from the orchard where we took the girls and she would show up for supper with hot apple pie behind her back and eat macaroni and cheese with a hotdog with the girls. So many things that there isn't enough paper to write it all down.
As much as anything she was just there for us and we were always there for her -- just because. We were as close to family as she had and as close to family as we had. We had great laughs and wonderful times and shared smiles and tears together. Her depression at losing her family was as much mine as Kim's or mine was for her. She and Kim traded cat food, coffee, tea and life and I am as proud to have known and loved her as anyone in the world would ever care for another. I took her to go get her car fixed; She took us out for dinner when a bad storm knocked out the power.
About 6 months ago in a typical late middle-aged surgery, she was diagnosed with endometrial carcinoma, then about 10 days later, with uterine sarcoma. It quickly spread to other parts of her body and she became a permanent member of our household, living with us for the next few months. My wife, my 5 and 7 year old and I cared for her 24 hours a day, while sharing the kids, school and everything else required to run 2 households.
About 2 months ago more distant family we live in Massachusetts, they live in Colorado) started to help out as they could. She spent the last month and a half in the hospital, returning home Friday afternoon and passing away quietly yesterday afternoon.
Life never got in the way of anything - it was just life and her friendship meant everything to us and we hope that our friendship was as meaningful to her or as a comfort as she took her last breath.
Yes, it is a personal loss; It is a family loss. It is a loss that we hope would never happen to anyone. Unfortunately, that wish can't be granted as the disease knows no boundaries and leaves no race, creed or religion untouched.
This is just my personal expression of gratitude and love of a dear friend.
I wish for you and your's wherever you are to have and keep good health and family.
We will return to normal life as soon as possible and with the additions made to staff and business in the last few weeks, you should see nothing but improvement to our care, compassion and assistance to build you the best possible services that we have ever offered.
If you choose, go ahead and write back or share your personal stories and struggles to me - I have an open ear and will listen.
I will be taking the rest of today (Sunday here) off, as we help get a few things squared away and we will resume normal business tomorrow.
