Overwhelmed with Industry Response ELECRAMA 2008 Draws to a Close

Mumbai, Maharashtra, India, January 29, 2008 - ELECRAMA 2008, the 8th in series of international trade fairs organized by the Indian Electrical and Electronics Manufacturers Association (IEEMA) took place in Mumbai from January 18 to January 22 at the Bombay Exhibition Centre in Goregaon.

IEEMA choregraphed CABLEWIRE 2008 - IEEMA's 6th International Technical Conference on Electrical Cables and Wires, SWICON 2008 - IEEMA's 7th International Conference on Switchgears and Controlgears, and ELROMA 2008 - IEEMA's 7th International Seminar on Electrical Rotating Machines alongwith this 2008 edition of the ELECRAMA with finesse to impress more than a large business audience with participants from 26 countries including China, Korea, Taiwan, Germany, and Italy.

Speakers on the subject of the future of power at the international exhibition included the Minister of Power, Higher and Technical Education, Medical Education, Dilip Valse Patil, and the Union Power Secretary R. V. Shahi among other dignitaries.

The newsy event featured Dow Wire & Cable marking 25 years of commitment to power distribution and telecommunications markets in India with Dow experts making presentations during the Cablewire 2008 seminar, and Sterlite Technologies’ AL-59 Alloy Conductors being awarded the ‘Best New Product by an Indian Manufacturer’ award by IEEMA.

The 'Best Stall Awards’ were awarded to Areva T & D KEI Industries Limited, Modern Malleables Limited, Cosmo Electro Industries Private Limited, Comet Industries, Precision Plastic Industries, and Essen Deinki out of the over 1000 exhibitors spread over 50,000 square meters based on stall architectural design, space, and environment.
